About our Alpaca Farm
We are located in the beautiful hills of Fort Calhoun, NE on 13 acres of mixed grasslands and woods. We have a "log-style house" over looking our "log-style" barns in a peaceful rural setting.
We saw our first alpacas in July 2007 and were able to feel how soft the fiber was on this beautiful gentle animal and immediately fell in love. We began researching and visiting nearby alpaca farms along with attending seminars and shows. We purchased our first animals in November 2007. However the barn and fencing still needed to be completed so after much preparation, we brought our first animals "home" in September 2008. We now have 21 alpacas and a share in the 15X Champion Irish Meadows Peruvian Javelin.
Our backgrounds are as a pharmacist and a project manager in construction. Our backgrounds have been benefecial in the design, lay-out and building of our facilities as well as the preparation for and the care of our animals.
We strive to make the best decisions every day so that we produce healthy animals with great conformation and outstanding fleece characteristics. We welcome visitors so please give us a call to make an appointment to check out any of our animals or to check out Javelin the 15X Color Champion stud. He started his breeding career this spring. Introductory breed fee is only $2500- what a bargain for a 15X champion!!
