About our Alpaca Farm

Located just north of Portland, Maine SuriPaco Farm began its operations in 2000. With approximately 70 suris on site, today the Farm and its staff manage the general husbandry and the Farm's breeding program as well as coordinating a domestic fiber business emphasizing U.S. resources where possible.  Despite having only suris, the Farm's fiber program includes purchasing both huacaya alpaca and other natural fibers for blending into specialty yarns.

The Farm emphasizes customer service, management practices supporting a healthy herd, and value added business strategies.  One of our primary business objectives has always included and remains the continued development of a sustainable domestic fiber program, commercial in nature, competitive  and accessible to a wide range of farms.

Our Team:

Ken and Claudia Raessler, owners and worker bees

Monica Parker, Administration and Wholesale Account Manager

Bristol Ivy - Creative Design

The core team is supported by a range of industry consultants who over the years have helped with husbandry and breeding practices, fiber production, supply chain development and marketing.  To everyone involved - as always we say thank you.
