Our financing terms
Not everyone can pay cash for a new car, and the same is true with alpacas! We offer terms starting with as little as 20% down and no interest for a year. Terms exceeding a year include a competitive interest rate. |
Services
Boarding-- Short or long term boarding is available at $4.25 per day. Boarding includes all normal daily care. (rates subject to change)
Brokering-- Need help selling your alpacas? We can help! Board your sale alpacas here. Brokering arrangements are flexible.
Breeding-- Breedings are available to herdsires living at Windy Hill. Huacayas and suris available. See our Herdsire page for details. We also supervise breedings between your males and females. Boarding fees apply for animals not currently boarded here..
Birthing-- All alpacas boarded at Windy Hill will be professionally cared for during, before and after birthing. Have a female due but you have to be at work? Bring her to us for the 60 days surrounding the birth.
Training-- Halter training and show training are both available.
New Owner Education-- We offer new owners (and prospective owners as well) the opportunity to learn-by-doing. Come on out--we'll put you to work learning herd management skills so that you are prepared when you take your alpacas home. We'll provide you with a "safety net" while you learn to take care of your alpacas.
Veterinary Care-- We are fortunate to have Dr. Jana Smith, a camelid specialist, as our primary veterinarian. Dr. Smith lives on the property and is on call on an ongoing basis. Our staff can also provide skilled nursing care.
Workshops-- Watch our Events page for the next workshop. We offer a variety through the year.
Showing-- We actively show all over the US through the year. If you have an alpaca that you would like to show, we'll be happy to show it for you, or help you show it yourself. Come to the shows with us-- it's great fun and very educational.
Show Prep-- Showring training helps a youngster be ready for a show. We can help.
Local Transportation-- If you live in Southern California, we can usually help with transportion.
Photography-- Need snapshots of your alpacas but can't get here to do it yourself? Need good shots for marketing? We can shoot them for you, or help you shoot them yourself.
