About our Alpaca Farm
At Destiny Alpacas the panoramic view of the enchanted valleys thrills us and the cool mountain breezes delight our alpacas. "We are passionate about alpacas". Destiny Alpacas was criated in 2000. Since then Larry has devoted a great deal of time to the alpaca industry as demonstrated through his leadership as President and member of the Board of Directors of the Southeast Alpaca Association from 2002 through 2008. He also continues to serve on various AOBA National Committees. Larry & Cathi have been active in the alpaca industry volunteering and as active members of SeAA, AOBA, SSLA, SAFF, SFN, ASFN, GAA and ARI. In 2009 Destiny teamed up with a local organic farm to recycle all our 'beans'. The organic farm is thrilled & Destiny is happy knowing that ALL of our by-products are recycled. Proud to be as GREEN as possible, Destiny has installed SOLAR POWER at the barn which will produce all the electrical power Destiny needs! Low carbon footprint at Destiny!
Destiny Alpacas offers for sale fine quality, guaranteed, ARI registered, Peruvian huacaya alpacas in an array of colors & champion bloodlines. Our full Peruvian herdsires are of utmost quality crossing the color spectrum from full accoyo white to multi-champion rose gray!! Most of our highly decorated studs sport at least one purple banner of championship and we are proud to say their offspring are bringing home the purple too! The Destiny Alpaca herd consists of full Peruvian huacayas and a very healthy dash of full accoyo bloodlines added for zest.
Destiny Alpacas has been BVDV tested and its entire herd has been found negative without exception. We CONTINUE to test each newborn cria for the protection of our own herd and those boarding here. Alpacas returning from a show venue or newcomers to the farm are quarantined. Alpacas coming to Destiny for any reason MUST PROVIDE proof of (-)BVD.
