When Heatherbrook Farms acquired the highest selling male at the 2009 Futurity Auction, Snowmass Enlightenment, the intent was to obtain a spectacular grey from a phenomenal bloodline to cross with the daughters of their legendary grey, Legend’s Challenger of KPR. The result is no surprise- style, presence and highly advanced grey fleece. Rose Bud combines exceptional presence with highly advanced bright, consistent, dense fleece and is one of the best, if not the best, female we have ever produced on the farm. As a juvenile, she won every halter class entered and is the 2011 OABA Grey Female Reserve Color Champion. As nothing is missing-genetics, presence, conformation and fleece, any breeding program searching for a spectacular grey should take a look at Rose Bud. Rose Bud is offered with a breeding to any of the unrestricted herdsires at Heatherbrook Farms or KB Alpacas. Our exciting challenge is to find a male that will actually breed her up. She is a part of our 2011-12 Show String and is co-owned by Double Dee Farms and Heatherbrook Farms. Rose Bud is registered to be auctioned in the 2012 AOBA National Conference and Auction on May 26, 2012 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Until July, 2009, Heatherbrook Farms is offering introductory breedings at $3000 for customers of Heatherbrook Farms that have purchased females or jr. herdsires.
