We have very high expectations for this spectacular male- great head, laid back disposition and very advanced bundling fleece exhibiting extreme density. Though his fleece color is beige; his skin, gums and toes are black. We expected him to darken dams while advancing fleece quality- a great and seldom seen combination and our expections have come true. DAM Heatherbrook's Balandra

Balandra is a maroon female with black tipped ears. She has a sweet disposition, solid conformation and soft uniform fiber. In addition, her grandsire is Danko. Balandra births quickly, has great milk and her cria grow on the average of 1 lb. per day. Balandra is a great foundational herd female. We bred Balandra to Royal Peruvian Avanti in 2007 to improve her fineness. Balandra delivered a 5/08 medium brown male cria that just missed herdsire potential due to lack of consistency. Balandra was bred to Patagonia's Compadre in 2008 in an attempt to reproduce the same fleece quality in dark. Her '09 cria was a DB female cria "KBA's Brisa de Compadre". Brisa was a Color Champion while a part of our fall,'09/'10 show string. Balandra '10 cria was a medium rose grey out of the 2009 National's Grey Reserve Color Champion, Snowmass Enlightenment. Fantastic!!! Balandra 2011 cria is a dense medium brown female we named Uno after her sire, Our Peruvian First.
