About our Alpaca Farm

Paso Ligero Alpacas is a small breeder of huacaya and suri alpacas, focusing on helping other small breeders work together and helping new breeders get a realistic start in whatever part of the alpaca industry suits their needs and desires. We take a sensible approach to animal health, nutrition and breeding as well as farm management. We've been alpaca breeders since 2004 and believe a healthy alpaca industry will thrive from a healthy alpaca fiber industry.

Whether you dream of becoming a breeder, a fiber producer, or just having alpacas as pets, Paso Ligero has something that will meet your needs. We strive for relationships with our clients so that we understand what you want and need and never push you to buy beyond that. And after you buy from us, we’re there to support, teach, assist and help you to meet your goals in whatever kind of alpaca business you want to have, even if it’s no business at all but purely enjoyment of the animals in your pastures. Come and see Paso Ligero, talk to us, look over our animals, and let us help you to put a face on your alpaca dream.

The alpacas head in to get their grain in the barn

We have three wonderful Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs working on the farm.

We love taking the alpacas to places where we can teach everyone about these wonderful aimals

Suris and huacayas - how could we have only one or the other?!

Come by and see us!
