About our Alpaca Farm
The beautiful Soaring Spirits Farm is now the home of great accoyo alpacas. I’m starting my herd with fabulous bloodlines that produce high quality fiber. I plan to breed even better crias, if that’s possible. The top quality crias will produce dense, crimped, soft fiber and, of course, perfect conformation. You don’t have to believe me; their genes tell the story. Their ancestors include bloodlines from El Nino, Royal Fawn, Royal Avenger, El Moustachio, and Caligula. I started Soaring Spirits Farm with Friesian Horses, which I still have.
Espn is my gorgeous FPZV registered Star Stallion. He is standing at stud now. He is a great boy but I can’t breed horses as an old lady. I wanted something I could do even into retirement. Alpacas just seemed like the right choice for me.
I have been in the animal field since 1977. I started as a kennel girl and moved up to Certified veterinary technician. I have worked at veterinary clinics, a zoo, a wildlife rehab center and a few farms. My education ranges from Animal Husbandry to Zoology and everything in between.
So naturally my retirement plan would include animals.
My name is Sheila. I am the owner of Soaring Spirits Farm. The farm is made up of forty acres, a barn, shed, a small home, and many animals. I have a beautiful view of the pastures, woods and lots of wildlife.
Many homeless, rescued animals have made their way into my heart and my home. Animals have been my life, and happiness, for so long I can’t imagine life without them.
