Email us about this animal

Peruvian Jillian is a beautiful light fawn female with coverage from her head to fetlocks with fine crimp and beautiful bundles of fleece. She has a lovely phenotype which she inherits from her Dam, Peruvian Juliette (A Ruffo daughter. Ruffo was sold to Australia.) and her Sire, Peruvian Cointreau who was unfortunately lost to the Land O'Lakes incident after siring only 5 offspring. Cointreau had won Color Championships in both halter and fleece in four shows just before his death. Cointreau was the son of Accoyo Peruvian Augusto another Champion producer and also no longer with us, who sold for a record $226,000 dollars to Five Star Alpacas, LLC, in 2000. Peruvian Jillian is the sister to both Peruvian Justice and Montrachet both halter Champions. Peruvian Jillian is a multi blue ribbon winner in both fleece and halter, wining her prestigious 1st place ribbon for fleece at the MAPACA Fleece Show in 2005. Jillian has given us awesome ribbon winning offspring, Sunset Hills Zeph's Zaire, Sunset Hills Confluence, Sunset Hills Midas Touch and Sunset Hills Lucaya. Jillian is now being bred to Sunset Hills Andean Gold who has won numerous Color Championships in both halter and fleece (the AFCNA Spirit of the Fiber Industry Award over all other color groups including white!) and was in the show ring up to age 3.5 years, if you could imagine this! Sunset Hills Andean Gold has given us and our customers many, many Blue ribbon and Color Championship offspring! The melding of these genes should be incredible!

SIRE Peruvian Cointreau

Color:    ARI# 802315    CLAA#

Peruvian Cointreau, this male had only five offspring because he was lost to the Land O Lake’s poison feed incident. Cointreau’s fleece was absolutely breathtaking. He won, among other awards, First Place and Color Champion at the 2000 International Fleece Show in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada! We were not surprised when Cointreau turned out to be so incredible as he was a light fawn son of accoyo Peruvian Augusto, who sold in the 2000 Breeder’s Choice Auction to Five Star Alpacas for a well-deserved world record price of $226,000. Cointreau won Color Champion 2000 International Fleece show, 1st in Fleece AOBA Nationals 2000, 1st in the OABA Fleece show 2000.

DAM Peruvian Juliette

Color: White   ARI# 181064    CLAA#

Juliette is the daughter of Accoyo Peruvian Ruffo who was sold to Australia. She retired to mother hood after she won 1st place in the 1997 AOBA halter show...years before there were Champion classes.

Service Sire Sunset HIlls Andean Gold

Color: Medium Fawn   ARI# 842897    CLAA#

Wow! We love this guy. Andean Gold is the offspring of our Multiple Champion Tell Vaccoyo's Secret and the well known Victor's Vaccoyo! He's got accoyo Victor bloodlines and multiple Championships and Blue ribbons in Halter and fleece shows to boot! In fact he just won a Color Champion in fleece at the OABA fleece show 2005 and won a Blue at AOBA 2004! Andean is of medium build, has a very full fleeced head and shorter muzzle. His fleece is superb with dense, rich fiber that has a fine handle and consistent bold crimp throughout. In fact, he had a staple length of 5.5 inches after 11 months of being shorn! His coverage is unbelievably complete from head to fetlock. We know Andean is going to bring a fabulous new genetic makeup to our herd and we're extremely excited to see his new offspring on the ground. He has produced a TB female with outstanding crimp, sheen and density out of TB female. So, he can pass on the color of the Dam.
