About our Alpaca Farm
We are a small suri alpaca breeding operation in Castle Rock, Colorado. We are not about numbers, we are about quality. Our passion is to provide the highest quality breeding stock to new breeders and existing breeders looking to improve their herd. Our careers and family interests are not conducive to owning our own farm. Our animals are boarded here in Castle Rock with Deb & Chuck Powers of Bella Vita Ranch. They are tremendously caring, knowledgable and experienced breeders who provide a great home for our animals.
After Doug studied the industry for a year and developed a genuine interest in these unique animals in 1997, we purchased our first foundation female "Silkworm" from Pacific Crest Alpacas. She went on to produce numerous AOBA and Futurity Champions for Jack and Kelly Armstrong. Unfortunately, we had to step away from the industry for a couple years. We returned in 2006 and purchased our two foundation females from Leslie Loveless at Sierra Bonita. After 10 years of studying animals, our buying decisions led us back to the same bloodlines we purchased in 1997. There is no better proof of quality than consistent progeny results year after year.
