Better Manage your Online Herd with New Active/Inactive Functionality
November 30, 2010
If you’ve got a large herd of alpacas for sale and advertise them through our online catalog, you may find it a challenge to manage all of those animals. To help alpaca farmers better manage their herds online, AOBA’s North American Alpaca Catalog now offers active/inactive functionality for all of its members.
Once you login to your account, you will now be able to leave alpacas on the site and simply choose to deactivate that particular listing. No longer will you have to take a listing down because a particular alpaca is not currently available.
So for example if an alpaca is pregnant and unable to be sold, you can deactivate it. Or maybe you’re shearing your animals for your current fiber harvest and want to temporarily deactivate their sales listing.
Whatever the reason, you can choose which alpacas are currently available for sale and which ones are not. Therefore, you can add your entire herd to the site and then choose which ones you’re currently interested in selling.
To check out this new exciting feature, login in to your AOBA account on the Member Services page today.

May 17, 2010 – Now Accepting Alpacas!
We’re pleased to announce that after months of development and testing, the AOBA North American Alpaca Catalog is officially launched and ready for members to start adding alpacas!
Reserve the space for your alpacas now. You can sign up and select how many alpacas you’d like to add here: http://www.aobaalpacas.com/join.php
Whether you have a website or not, this catalog system is the one place online where you’ll want to be sure to list your alpacas. Here are just a few reasons:
We’ve taken great care to make sure alpacas in the Catalog can enjoy maximum visibility in searches both on AOBAalpacas.com and all across the Internet. Without having to hire an Internet marketing company, your alpacas and farm listing pages enjoy the potential to show up in Google, Yahoo, etc.
You can also have your alpacas synchronized to your website, too. You’ll only need to update them in one spot, and they’ll show instantly in both the Catalog and on your website.
